Role Description
We are hiring an Associate (called to the Singapore Bar in 2026, or due to be called in 2027) to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with flexibility to work from home.
Our Associates work on a broad range of disputes and corporate matters rather than being confined to a single practice area. As a small team, we give junior lawyers real responsibility early, and you will work directly with senior practitioners at every stage of a matter. We are looking for Associates who are eager to learn and keen to take a hands-on role in their matters.
We believe strongly in supporting the development of our lawyers, with a particular emphasis on nurturing business-minded and entrepreneurial junior Associates. Associates who complete two years with the firm will be sponsored for admission to the New York Bar or as a solicitor of England and Wales (subject to eligibility).
You can expect to:
- Draft and review commercial agreements, and assist on transactions and corporate advisory work
- Draft pleadings, submissions, correspondence and legal opinions under supervision
- Contribute to strategy on both transactional and contentious matters, including hearing preparation
- Attend hearings, client meetings and conferences
- Liaise with clients, foreign counsel and experts
- Take part in internal knowledge-sharing and practice development
What we are looking for:
- Called to the Singapore Bar in 2026 or due to be called in 2027
- A strong academic record, particularly in commercial, corporate and dispute resolution subjects
- Sharp research and analytical skills
- Confidence in communicating with clients and counterparties
- An interest in both disputes and corporate work, and the adaptability to move between the two; familiarity with institutional arbitral rules (e.g. the SIAC Rules) is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines across several matters, both independently and as part of a small team
- Willingness to learn and openness to feedback
